I came across this beautiful stop motion save the date yesterday. What a sweet way to announce your wedding!
I have been trying to come up with a way to incorporate The Meters song, “They all ask’d for you” into the save the date announcement. Hmmm… maybe stop motion is the way to do this.

Last weekend was great! Sara Zieman, one of my bridesmaids, has raved for years about the Blue Angels’ Show every summer in Pensacola. Pensacola is actually, the home of the Blue Angels, so their return to their base every year is extra special. Although the show is really for the people sitting in the stands on the beach, those with access to a boat have made it a tradition to anchor their boat in the bay and watch the show from the water.
After years of hearing about this trip, Matt and I were finally able to work it into our schedule so that we could go! More fun than you can imagine. Saturday morning (7 am!) we boarded Mr. Zieman’s boat. After a full day of swimming, playing on a HUGE water slide and watching the blue angels fly 4″ apart from each other, we were exhausted.
I am waiting for someone to post pictures of the day to Facebook, but until then a generic picture will have to do!

Happy Fourth of July!!
Today is not only a day of celebration for America’s independence, but it is also the 5th anniversary of the day Matt and I met.
In celebration, tonight we are going to watch fireworks downtown. The city sets up two dueling barges on the river and they have a double fireworks display. This will be the 3rd year we have spent the 4th downtown.
The Wegmann’s are having us over for dinner before we head downtown. From what I overheard, we are having steaks and roasted potatoes. Mmmm… can’t wait.
Overall, the long weekend was really nice. Matt and I both bought the new iPhone. Matt, who has had one for a while, is enjoying the camcorder function; whereas, I was resisting the technology for a while. Apologies in advance If I call or text you on accident. It is still a learning process!!
